SPLITTING RATIO

The splitting valve splits the fresh gas flow into the two pathways: the by pass pathway and the vaporising chamber pathway.

At a given time, if you compare the flow in the by pass pathway and the vaporising chamber pathway, you get what is called a "splitting ratio".
