Investigations

Preoperative investigations: " FUELLED "

Full Blood Count (include Clotting & Platelets)

Urea & Electrolytes

Endocrine (Blood sugar , etc)

Liver function tests

Lung (Arterial gas, Chest X Ray , Lung function Tests)

ECG , Exercise ECG, Echo , and other cardiac tests

Diagnostic imaging such as ultrasound, CT, MRI

Note:

Don't forget that the "E" stands for "Endocrine" and not "Electrolytes".

The first four (FUEL) are blood tests. The other three (LED) are essentially not.
